Teacher Assistant: Sammie Lee I was born and raised in northern Chicago land. I have always loved being around younger children and even from a young age. My childcare training began at age eleven when I attended a home daycare after school. Shortly after I outgrew daycare, the woman that watched me trusted me to babysit her kids. Later she offered me a job in her home daycare when I turned eighteen. Working in this field, my life is fulfilled in ways far beyond a paycheck. I love to play, sing, dance, cuddle, and create. I live for smiles and will go out of my way to bring them out of each child as often as I can. I relate easily to children and aim to develop a level of mutual respect with a balance of love and discipline. |

Teacher: Megan I grew up in northern Virginia, the sixth child in a family of ten. My parents decided to home school all of their children when I was three. My first experience with formal schooling was community college during my senior year of high school. Despite never having attended school, I have always wanted to teach. It could be said that teaching is in my blood since both of my grandmothers were teachers as well as my mother. My desire to teach led me to major in Elementary Education for my undergraduate degree. I graduated in 2011 from Brigham Young University with 3.85 GPA. Another important part of my life, even as a little girl, has been singing in choirs, whether church or community. Going to college enabled me to expand my interest in music. I participated in university choirs and finished a minor in music. I start working with children in 2006 as a pre-school assistant, teacher, volunteering in my church Sunday School, and Student Teaching. I love working with children and seeing them grow and progress towards goals. I moved to Illinois with my husband and am excited for all of the opportunities that await me here. |
